1.Review traditional Chinese Buddhist systems of doxography and interpretation, eg. Tiantai school.  
2.Study modern forms of religious and philosophical hermeneutics, eg. Charles Fu’s creative hermeneutics.  
3.From the above, theorize on what forms future forms of global Buddhism and Buddhist studies hermeneutics should take.
